Goal: 21.1k GoodLife Toronto Half Marathon [COMPLETE]
Today I found out that 18k is my crashing point. My leg started cramping up somewhere after the 15k mark, and by the time I got to 18 I had to walk it out. See the cool/gross dent in my leg? I’ve never had a leg cramp… it was the strangest feeling! I also started walking in my socks around 19k because my feet felt like they were on fire! Battle scars (blisters)

10km- 1:26:40
15km- 2:15:55
Official finish- 3:28:39
Comments: Did not hit my goal time but I gave it my all at the end and I feel pretty accomplished. :)

Please, remind me not to go crazy with my credit card on the computer and sign up for all these things during the busiest time of the school year. Especially not after I just ran a race and under an endorphin high.

Lately, I’ve been getting shin splints about 20 minutes into my runs. WHY?
It’s never been a problem until now… my half marathon is only months away!
WHY?

I can’t have this right now!!! :(

I told my friend Raymond that I was running a 21k race. He thought it was nothing until I showed him how far 21k really is…
If you live in Toronto, it’s from Victoria Park Station to Kipling Station on the Bloor-Danforth subway line. Now I’m freaking out… what did I get myself into?
