Goal: CN Tower Climb [COMPLETE]
BUSY day! Woke up at 4AM to be at check-in at 5AM, did the climb at 6AM AND THEN had a weekend course at 9AM until 5PM. I am FRIED.
Comments: PERSONAL RECORD of 23:21!
32 seconds better than last year and 2 seconds better than the first time I did it! Which means I’m not getting worse (at least) haha.

Goal: Toronto Island Give-A-Tri [COMPLETE]

Split times including transition (rough estimate; I just glanced at my watch)
400m swim- 15min
10k bike- 40min
2.5k run- 20min
Overall watch time: 1hour 16min

I was really scared about the swim because it was open-lake and I only trained in a pool where there’s a wall to rest at. I was also a sprinter when I swam in high school (and I have no self-control) so I was at the front of the pack for the first 200 meters of the swim and I slowly drifted back near the end. I did catch up during my bike and the run was pretty calm and relaxed. The awesome view of the city from the island was a real nice touch too.

OH! My dad also got an epic shot of my 200 meter sprint. It was the best part.

Comments: I had so much fun doing this! I’m already looking into next year, although I’d actually invest in a triathlon suit and a racer bike!!! God, that mountain bike was such a drag, but it was good enough for this beginner tri. :)

I bought a chin-up bar for 20 bucks and I’ve been having lots of fun. Haha!
I can do half a chin-up at the moment but my goal is to do at least 3 by the end of the summer. :)

Goal: Spartan Sprint Toronto [COMPLETE]

Honestly the best event yet! It was even more fun in teams. :D

Today’s race was 5 miles and 13 plus obstacles long.

My watch time was 1:33:41 but we had to wait in line for some of the obstacles. We could have passed them and taken a penalty, but let’s be honest here… we can do 30 burpees at home. We came here to climb 12 foot walls! :P

ALSO, look who I ran into! Kate… aka the crazy who got me into this whole racing thing in the first place. She came in 2nd because she’s epic. Congrats<3

We’re already looking forward to next year!

Comments: cut, bruised, wet, and dirty… that’s how Spartan’s do it! ;)

Goal: Brita Resolution Run [COMPLETE]
Funny story. I was editing my blog and I accidentally deleted this post.
Re-posting because I keep track of these races on here :)
Comments: I don’t remember, but I know my watch time was 33:44 :P
