This is how I deal with my workout buddies— just pick um up and move on. (I tease I tease) LOL

90% sure I’m going to do Toronto Triathlon

I DISLIKE how body building has been intensely associated with the male sex.
I get that more men build muscle, but exercise is not (and shouldn’t be) gender-specific. At my gym, I’m the only girl lifting weights 99% of the time. I have no problem with that, but every now and then men would compliment me… and those compliments have almost always been associated with the male sex.
I was at the gym the other day and this guy was like, “You’re jacked, man!”
Thanks for the compliment, but I’m NOT a MAN.
I AM A WOMAN who loves to feel the strength of her own body. I don’t want to have to be associated with the male sex because of my musculature. I have all the girl parts, thank you… and if my body wasn’t supposed to look like this then is wouldn’t.
Some chicks BENCH, get over it.
Goal: 21.1k GoodLife Toronto Half Marathon [COMPLETE]
Today I found out that 18k is my crashing point. My leg started cramping up somewhere after the 15k mark, and by the time I got to 18 I had to walk it out. See the cool/gross dent in my leg? I’ve never had a leg cramp… it was the strangest feeling! I also started walking in my socks around 19k because my feet felt like they were on fire! Battle scars (blisters)
Split Times (from my watch)
5km- 41:35
10km- 1:26:40
15km- 2:15:55
Official finish- 3:28:39
Comments: Did not hit my goal time but I gave it my all at the end and I feel pretty accomplished. :)
Haha, awesome! :)
THANK YOU<333
